KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 8 (Bernama) -- E-business specialist Skali Group is looking forward to upgrade government websites and portals as part of a continuous process of the managed portal services (MPS) project.

Its president Aimi Aizal Nasharuddin said this followed the favourable report it received from the 152 government websites and portals it developed or improved during the first stage of the assessment period from October 2007 till end of 2009.
Among them were that of the Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry Ministry which was now in seventh place in terms of overall ranking and the Petaling Jaya City Council website which was currently the best-ranked among the local councils.

"Malaysia is currently at number 34 with regards to e-government readiness as issued by the United Nation in 2008. I am sure the improved MPS websites and portals will help the country move up the rank further," Aimi Aizal said.

Skali said it was supposed to employ 256 unemployed graduates contractually but had instead employed more than 350 graduates from local universities to work on the MPS websites over the past two years under stage one of the project.

Moral is : ambik ramai staff pun kalu tak polish tul2 tak jadi gaks....
